Background Information
I grew up in Nottingham, moved to High Wycombe over 2 years ago. I am the only Deaf person in my family.
How did you come to choose to work alongside the Deaf /Deafblind?
Growing up being Deaf I want to inspire other Deaf / Deafblind people that they can achieve what they want to do. Plus, I enjoy meeting new people and sharing about their and my life experiences.
Hobbies and Interests
Travelling, meeting friends (new and old), learning about new/different cultures, dancing (Bollywood and Zumba), watching TV and listening to music.
What relevant qualifications do you possess?
PGCE and BSL Level 6.
Preferred method(s) of communication
BSL, SSE, Lipreading/speech.
Training
I am currently on numerous training courses online via Care Skills Academy.
What’s your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is teal.
Tell me an interesting story:
I used to perform when I was younger (dancing). I have performed at Shaftesbury Theatre.
My favourite thing is:
Spending time with family and friends.
I don't like:
Snakes and some seafoods.
What frightens you?
Snakes.
Do you like Marmite?
No!
Do you keep ketchup in the fridge or cupboard?
I don’t eat ketchup, but I keep it in the fridge.
